one job or the other
i am currently working as a Asst. Web producer at automotive.com and it pays well, but not that well, i recently got my license, should i quit this current job and try to chase a job as a salesperson???

That is a decision that you need to make for yourself. Just keep in mind that as a new agent you are usuallly looking at least 3 months before you get that first check. So if you do decide to make the switch, make sure you are prepared.

Like the previous post stated, this is something that you will have to weight the pro's and con's on, and it overall comes down to what your long term goals are for yourself. Are you going to be able to look back in 10 years and say that it was a good decision to either keep going with the current path, or was it a smart decision that you left that career?

It takes a while to get a client base, to get your name out there, and get sales going. Can you work without income for 3-6 months? What is the current market situation where you live? If it is slow - then you may want to keep your current job while you start your career in real estate.

I would recommend doing real estate part time on weekends...hold open houses, build up some contacts, and see if you like it...when you feel you can cut the cord on the other job...then take the plunge
