    Default Odd question

    Hi,
is there any way to find out how much someone paid for a downpayment in a house purchase?
A family member (brother) took a lot of money from my mom's estate and I am trying to track down purchases and I just found out that he bought a house in the most expensive neighborhood...and he has no job.
    Thanks

Usually the deed will show how much debt is attached to the house and the tax records will tell you how much he paid for the house. Subtract the 2 and you have the down payment.
