Does anyone know where we can get US residential subdivision data?

    Thanks in advance!

    Default Define "Subdivision Data"

Subdivision reports are filed with each individual county, there is no single source for this type of information.

Current Parcel Status is available in each County Assessor's Office.

Anything relevant to the establishment and creation of a subdivision would be on file with the County's Planning and Zoning Board.

Thank you james.ash! That's what we are doing rigth now. We have to contact Assessor's Office of each township trying get the subdivision data, but that is a lot of works and we do not think we can get all data this way.

We are looking for subdivision survey data, such as subdivision name, location, type, how many houses etc., so our users can search it using zip code or city/state similar like they did public schools search.

    Default Subdivision Data

I don't think there exists anywhere a comprehensive database of subdivisions. Subdivision data is so unique to a local area that is is of little or no use to a nantionwide database. If you are looking for a specific subdivision's data the ONLY place you will find it is in the Developers office or in the County Assessor/Recorder's Office.

If you are looking for a nation wide database of useful information on the local neighborhood for a particular address, you may find zillow.com fairly useful. You must bear in mind that the Value Data displayed on zillow.com is useful as a general guideline but can not be relied upon for accurate value data. Only a current appraisal (Licensed Appraiser)can give you accurate value. Only a current Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) form a Licensed Realtor or Real Estate Agent can give you probable selling range based on local market conditions. Realtor CMAs are generally more reliable than non-Realtor Agent CMAs becasue only Realtors have access to the Multiple Listing Services.

Is that getting close to answering your question or No?
