Default wooden flooring question---prepping for house sale

I have been doing some cosmetic improvements around my house (painting, cleaning, a couple of new fixtures) in getting it prepared for the market this summer.
The one thing that is left is the wooden floors upstairs: They are a variable-width yellow pine in the hallway and a larger den room (has a built in TV nook, also with the same flooring). The color is rather natural looking, but a somewhat deeper yellow, like it was oiled originally, but it does not appear as though it was varnished (I guess I am using the right word here----it does not have a glossy finish to it). House is 24 years old....there are no gouges or noticeable marks on the floor, but would what do you think would be the best way to go treatment wise? A glossy varnish of some kind? Or something else? Suggestions please!

whatever you do, don't do it yourself. applying any kind of finish can be disastrous if not done properly. If the floors look good then leave them alone.

I am confused a bit. What is wrong with the floor right now that even makes you consider doing something?

I have to agree that unless the floors look bad to leave them alone. If they do look bad either get several professionals to give you estimates and their opinions.
