Exclamation !!!HELP!!!Who do i report to for dirty dealing from a REO listing agent???

i want to know who i should tell if the listing agent has a repair business that has done repairs on the home that im trying to pruchase. i have up the price on negotiating and the listing agent would not let me do the repairs saying it has to be a general contractor and that he already had an estimate then i got a survey and he ran in there a slaped up what need to be fixed before the servay was done and was just the worst workman ship possible i have seen in years im in construction my self and felt like he just pocked 75% of the money, he is going back again to work on it but i no its going to be shotty work again. My realtor asked if he had a construction business and he said it was his half brothers and i looked his business up he is the sole proprietorship of the home business. My realtor said theres nothing wrong with what he did but both my lenders said this was a serious issue and not playing fair expecially on a REO i know there is nothing illegal about him having any other business as a realator but he should not be using his own business to do repairs expecially this being a Goverment Property. i want to wait to close on the place first before i blow the whistle on him. So my question is can i tell some one about his dirty dealing of conflict of intrest and who to tell so he dose not do this to anybody else again ever???

You can report problems to the Real Estate Commission in the state this agent is licensed in and if they are a REALTOR you can file complaint with the Association they are a member of. Sorry you had a bad experience, please do not think all real estate agents or REALTORs are the same........

    Default Agent dirty dealing

I also heard lots of real estate dirty dealings in my place. However, I agree with Mark that not all agents are into it. And those who do dirty dealings can be reported to the commission or his association to give him a lesson. I still trust lots of agents, especially the licensed ones. (There are many sub-agents who are not licensed in my place). But I'm fortunate enough to have licensed ones and they are my close relatives and friends.

To avoid dirty dealings, we must know every angle of the transaction. For example, you need to have enough know-how of real estate when you are about to do the transaction, which I believe is what incognito is.

However, regardless of our know-how, we sometimes experience best buys and worst buys alike. Lessons learned, it's part of the experience, then we can move on...hoping not to do the same mistake again in the future. Thanks for sharing!

Better report him/her right away on the Real Estate Commission on your area. Or, if the person is working within a RE company, then you could go report him/her to them. Also, always remember or take note of his/her name and face as well as gather evidences as well to support your claim against the agent. There are a lot of agent right now roaming around so it's better to become a bit investigative on agents you are trying to choose.
