    Default Difficulty with Credit

My wife and I have worked for Walmart for 11 years.Together we make about $47000. My credit scores are 658, 703, and 716. My wife's scores are all in the mid 700's. She has a couple of credit cards but I continue to be denied for credit. I don't understand why. Two of my scores are considered good, one is fair. We would like to buy a house in Tacoma, WA. Any advice? Do real estate agents assist in finding a lender? I would appreciate any assistance that anyone may have to offer. Thank you.

Get out the phone book and start calling lenders located in Tacoma. Some of these people will not be able or willing to help you but if you keep trying you will find a couple of lenders who will show you what you can do now and what you can do to improve your credit.

There might also be some programs where you can buy a house with some help.

Just don't give up. Keep talking to lenders. If the phone book doesn't help start talking to real estate agents and find one who has already helped people in situations likes yours. They might know a lender who can help you.

The key here is YOU have to be persistent or it won't happen. When I got my first loan I was actually laughed at by most of the lenders but I kept trying until I found one who could help me.
