Default What time of the year is best to buy new construction?

Is there a particular time of the year that you can get a better deal on new construction? Or are all months basically the same?

I think all year around. Buying new construction can depend on many things. If seller really needs the money you might get your self a deal. So, before jumping into conclusion you first have to look at the seller and economy effects.

In areas where the winter months make it prohibitive for builder's to work outside, winter months can sometimes be better. The builders still have payroll to keep their employees & other expenses, so if you get lucky you can sometimes be able to work a deal.

Might be a bit better in the winter but it depends on how badly the home builder is hurting for business. Speak with a local REALTOR as they will know about special incentives that most home builders will not tell you about. Make sure you have a REALTOR there the first time you visit as they will not allow you to be represented by one if you don't. Most people think the builder will give them a better deal if they don't use a REALTOR and this couldn't be further from the truth. Remember the nice new home agent still works for the builder and has his paycheck and his employers paycheck in mind at all times. You need someone to represent YOU and not the builder. Hope this helps.
