    Default Paint or stain

    Hello,
I will putting my home up for sale very soon. My screened in back porch and deck are in need of staining. But, is there a reason not to paint it to match the wrap around porch? Since they are connected it seems to make sense to make them look the same. Do buyers seem to have a preference? If painting is a concern, then wouldn't they already have that concern with the porch? Any advice?

In my opinion, you should keep it the same. I feel if the porch were different colors, it would appear smaller to buyers and just visually distracting. Often times porches can be a deal breaker or deal clincher. Good luck on the sale of the house!

I agree. The colors you should choose also need to be natural and relaxing, after all, a porch is made for that very purpose.

Match the paint to the house. It will sell quicker if you match the paint.
