Default When buying a new home

When buying a new home, what upgrades should we go for? What holds the most value?

I'd probably check the panels, kitchen, bathroom, flooring, etc.

    Derrick,

Buying an older home normally means that it needs to be "updated" or "remodeled". And there are certain areas of the home that cost more to do than others. So you kind of want to look for a home that has the most expensive upgrades already done. These can include, the kitchen, roof, electrical (if there's an issue), plumbing, septic/sewer, pool and bathrooms...

    Default location, price

    Hey

While you buy a home, the very first thing u need to check is the location and then the price (considering the life of structure). Also consider the proximities to your work place, market area etc.

Make sure the facts are correct, and fix any problems you discover.Buying a new home means as much, or more inspection than buying a pre-owned home. Consider hiring a professional home inspector.

Well, when buying a new home the thing which holds more value is the location or area and after that, the home exterior and a complete home decor.

Tips for buying your first home and whether you should hire your own agent, buy a home without an agent or let the seller's agent represent you. When prices are falling, it's an even worse proposition. Get the right mortgage loan and be a happy first time home buyer.

The property you choose to live in should ideally bring together a balance between price, and proximity to locations you visit often. Mark down on a map the locations that you visit most frequently and feel you may want near by.

A home inspector friend of mine that the best determination of the value of the house is the things you do about the things that the buyer cannot see but one day could cause the biggest problem, like areas in the house where the infestation of termites might occur or loose wiring that could cause fire. Based on experience, a buyer will pay top dollar for a safe, worry-free home.
