You can sell your own home and you do not need a real estate license to do so. However, for sale by owner transaction do require that the owner does have extensive knowledge of the legalities and terms needed to sell a home, most especially, how you want the buyers to finance the sale.

Fsbo
Selling your home without a real estate license is perfectly legal and referred to as a FSBO (For Sale By Owner). You may want to do a little research as far as how you can market it and get some interest generated. You may also want to talk to a realtor (or maybe get some input here) on the best ways to prepare for the sale such as disclosures and inspections.
Good Luck!

yeah, you don't need a license; just a document that will serves as a proof that you have sold your property.

You can sell it yourself
You only need a real estate license if you are going to represent others in a real estate transaction. Yuo can sell your home yourself and if you search google for FSBO you'll find a bunch of sites to help you.

You can sell your own properties without a license. If you want to put them in MLS for exposure and cooperation, then you must attach yourself to a brokerage, and pay all the fees associated with that.

As most of my friend said above, I would just say +1 to them. I never came across such doubt before.

Of course, you don't need a license.

License not needed but you'll probably want to get your attorney to draw up the documents/contracts. You don't want to run into trouble down the road if i's not dotted and t's crossed
