Default Buying a home CASH with outstanding Medical bills

    Hi all!,

This is my first post here and I had a question,

My Fiancee and I are looking to purchase a home. Our parents are going to help us out a little and we are going to purchase the home for cash. My fiancee and I have some unpaid medical expenses from an accident we were in a few months back. We have not pad them yet and plan to start paying them after we get married and have the house. Is having these outstanding medical bills going to cause any problems in purchasing the home, or could it have any problems after we own the home, i.e liens, or siezure of the home because of unpaid medical bills? I would really appreciate the input.

    Thanks

    -Nick

Outstanding debt won't matter if you are paying cash.

Once you own the property liens can be placed on it but all this means is you would have to pay them off before you could sell.

    Go for it.

Expose to future risk or constraint for the sake of immediate advantage

Which is higher the medical bills or the house amount? For sure it is the house is much higher. I believe it is proper to pay your existing bills first before thinking/planning to buy something else.
