I have an issue about a portion of an old railroad easement in Rialto, CA that was placed in my name by my former brother-in-law (possibly maliciously) who has spent a lifetime in RE. Taxes were only about $40/yr, until recently. With the new "weed abatement" program in effect taxes are now $400 per year.
Is this property worthless? Can I sell it w/o a lot of hassle?
Are there any options? Please help!
