My story in a nutshell (it is much longer in reality I just dont want to bore you) I am buying a foreclosure with a VA loan. Bank says they will make the house VA approved. Inspector goes in and tells them what needs to be done. It is about $4500 worth of work. Bank pays contractors, Contractor sends the bank pictures of a completed job at another residence. Bank calls VA inspector and says its done. He doesnt bother going and looking, he just signs off on it. So now the bank is telling me too bad, the va inspector signed it, the house is now VA approved, you have a contract. Can I sue the VA inspector for the repairs or am I just screwed. We settle wednesday.
