    Default Simple international buying

    Hi all,

    I am an Australian looking to buy a flat in London. I have heard that as an Australian I am not able.
    I have a Spanish wife, but I am not a Spanish (EU) citizen (yet!).

    Can anyone clear this up?

    Hopefully some EU agents can chime in and give pertinent advice. Do you know whether you would be able to buy real estate in Spain? I know here in the US, we have certain tax requirements that must be met (but that's when you are selling), and in Hawaii we have further tax obligations for foreigners. Best of luck.
