Default Recommend a foreclosure MLS listing service

I am in the market for a home and I'm trying to consider foreclosure auctions and short sales because I have a large amount of cash saved. Problem is Im finding it difficult to identify these properties.

I live in Houston and I use HAR.com and I have found the Countrywide/BankOfAmerica site for REO properties.

Should I be paying for foreclosure listings and if so, which one/s are best?

The best way to find out about properties on the MLS, such as foreclosures and short sales is to work with a buyers agent. Avoid any of the sites you have to pay for, the information is often dated or incorrect.

Go find a good REO agent who has one listed and work with him/her. Banks will ALWAYS put their inventory on the MLS and lots of times their agents will key you in on deals before they're listed.

If you're paying for listings, you're getting duped.
