    Default Bad Feedback?

    Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum. I will admit that I have only joined because I have a specific inquiry.

I am wondering if there are any well-known places where I can leave feedback (in this case, bad feedback) about my experiences with a particular realtor.

I am not a slanderer, I just want to make it known the horrible experience I recently had with a realtor (to warn others)

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

There is no indication of your location in your post, so this may not be relevant, but here goes. If you are in the US, real estate agents and brokers are licensed by the state in which they work; each state has an agency that oversees licensed agents/brokers. If the person you posted about was in a contractual relationship with you and you believe they violated the terms of that contract, you can make a complaint to the licensing agency. You might also want to look into making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

However, there is no information in your post about what actually happened. The person you're angry with may have done something completely unethical or maybe even illegal -- an example would be a listing agent failing to present an offer from a cooperating agent so that the agent could both list and sell the property, even if it meant getting a lower price for the seller. On the other hand, you might be furious because this agent or broker did act in line with the law or a code of ethics. An example would be insisting on full disclosure of material defects to a potential buyer, against your wishes as the seller.

Libel and slander are not as clear cut as one might think. There are always other perspectives, and what seems obvious to one person may not be so to someone else. In other words, be careful!

    Thanks for the post.

Mostly I am just dissatisfied with his poor service, and I want to make that known to others. In this information age, there are many places to leave a review (like on Amazon.com product reviews, etc).

In my particular case, it was the seller's broker who was the problem (I was the buyer). During the buying process, our agent would try to contact him but his voice mail was always too full to leave a message, on all three occasions when we had scheduled a showing he failed leave the key, or was 45 minutes late, and we had to re-schedule the final walk through twice because he didn't even show up (he stood us up TWICE). When we finally did do the final walk through, there was rolled up carpets and other trash inside the condo that wasn't there previously. He agreed that he would have his clients remove it. He never even told them! After the walk through he came back to the condo and crammed all of the debris in the storage space above my kitchen ceiling rather than get rid of it. I realize that it is the Owner's responsibility to remove debris (not the realtor's) but he never even passed the message along to the owner.

The last straw for us, was that at the closing they handed us the keys to the doors, but not the gate opener for the parking space. Without this, there is no way to access the parking lot, and there is very limited street parking (its in a dense part of Boston). At the closing table, we asked him if he could send it to us as soon as possible, and he agreed. Two weeks after the closing, we inquired about the gate opener and when we should expect it. He replied that it is our problem not his. New gate opener costs $150 through the condo management company... so I am very annoyed.

Ultimately, I left feedback on google map's business search results section, and yellow pages.com. I haven't found a better place yet... All I can hope is that when others seek a realtor, they search either of these sites.
