Phone Call to Renters....
I'm a newer agent and have decided to approach renters in my surrounding areas about buying a home and going after the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers. I've seen nearly every agent who has done this succeed in getting sales. My question was, what is the best way to approach them? I will be doing phone calls, as my letters I sent out before did not get the best response. I was curious on what you, as an agent, did and said when calling these renters. Or, if you haven't done this, what would you do and say. Thanks a lot!
I'm just an agent looking for some guidance in certain fields as I am only 6 months deep in the business! :] Thanks to all for the help!

Interesting topic. And one I am currently very much interested in. Maybe we can brainstorm with one another. I am currently trying to target the renters section of Craigslist to try and attract interested parties. I'll let you know how that goes.
One topic I have read about is somehow finding out people who are within a couple of months of there leases running out at apartments and start targeting them. I don't know how to get that info other than directly approaching the Property Managers.
Any ideas out there?

First time home buyers
Here in Minnesota, we have had some agents on our team who have dispersed fliers to various apartment complexes.
Also, some agents who have set up websites specifically targeting first time home buyers and how they can take advantage of some great opportunities on properties for sale on the MLS.
Overall...I don't think there is any magic formula, but I like your ideas!!
