    Question condemed

    I am interseted in buying a city condemed house. the house was abandoned by the owner. I talked to the city and they told me that tere was nothing wong with the house. I found out who the owner is but I have no phone number. how do I find a phone number to contact the owner. anybody have any ideas.

    Check the county tax records online. Then start looking on whitepages.com or any other people search service.

    If it's still owned by a person (and not a bank owned foreclosure) you may have some luck.

    If it's a bank owned, you'll have to buy it when they list in on the MLS.


    Why would the city condemn a house that doesn't have anything wrong with it. Sounds like you need more information.

    the city condemed the house because nobody was living there and it was blight. I also looked in the county records and that is how I found who owned the property. the property might come up at the next tax sale. the owner owes back taxes on the property.
