Cool Buyers agent vs Sellers Agent

I'm going to be selling my current home and buying a new one. Should I use the same agent for both transactions for separate ones?

Buying the new house is going to be much easier than selling my existing home. I know what neighborhood I want to move to. How do I go about finding an agent that has experience and knowledge in the neighborhood I'm selling?

If I chose my [sellers] agent based on their ability to sell my existing home doesn't that agent just switch gears when it's time for me to buy and become my [buyers] agent? Is an agent more interested in selling my home if they know they are going to get a commission when I buy a new one too?

    Thank you

If you are staying in the same general area, then you could use the same agent for both buying and selling.

I would say most agents would work harder to sell your home if they knew it meant you were going to buy another home with their assitance.
