Default real estate license and the business

    Hi,

I'm new here and have not yet gotten my real estate insurance agent license yet. After I get my license, how do I go about getting my first client if I don't have much friends? If I work for a real estate company, will the give me clients? But why won't they handle the clients themselves?

    Thanks,
    Gordon

Default real estate license and the business

Normally when you get a license and go to work for a company you have to produce your own clients. They usually send you out door knocking or calling on the phone. I would suggest you try to hook up with someone in the office that can help you get started. One of the ways I did it many years ago when I first started was to sit open houses. Many of the agents will be happy to have you sit their houses. Any leads you get will be yours.
    Good luck,

Another idea is to ask the RE school if there are any companies recruiting. If not call local companies and ask if they have lead generation in place. Some companies have websites that provide leads and agents can participate in receiving the leads for a fee. Large companies have relocation departments that you can participate in for a referral fee.
