The best way is to write unique articles. Try searching the web for tips on how to optimize your site. This will bring traffic to your site.

You could also do basic link building tasks like article and directory submission. There are a lot of other ways, these are just a few. Best of luck to you.

To advertise a travel website, social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter's link is most useful to add more search engines and user visibility.

One way to drive immediate traffic to your travel site is to pay for it using a pay-per-click (PPC) service.

"Adwords" is Google's version of PPC. Bing and Yahoo offer PPC as well, but would probably be a waste of time considering those search engines are used by so few in comparison to Google.

Be warned though, people who don't know how to properly manage a PPC account can spend a lot of money with very little result.

My main advice is to spend a fair amount of time up front learning about PPC and SE0 (search engine optimization) before embarking on an action plan.

I also agree with the advice in the previous posts.

    Good luck!

Do a blog and update it more often, through that you can drive traffic to your site. Also do some social networking like in Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. Joined groups and advertise your website there. Do also classified ad posting, forum posting and blog commenting.
