Default Paying Tax on Abandoned Property

I found a property where the owner has abandoned it and the taxes have not been paid in several years. If I pay the taxes how do I go about getting a title deed to the property? I've heard of people doing this but I don't know the proper procedure. Can someone help me?
    Thanks,
    Becky Beasley

Just make sure to do your homework. Most of the time, abandoned properties are abandoned because the city, county or state took it over for future use. You pay the taxes and then they don't even send you a "thank you" note...In all case, you're out of the picture...
