Question Are suburbs like Thane and Virar still facing the water problems?

Water is necessary for survival. We have water supply 24/7 and so we don’t really care much about it but there are lot of places in Mumbai itself which face water problems even today.
At some places there is water supply on alternate days whereas some get water for 2hrs a day and at few places the water that supplied is contaminated. Are Virar and Thane one of these areas which face water problem as compared to other parts of Mumbai?

    Smile Hi Versatile,

To be very frank water problem is everywhere and so it is gonna be there in suburbs. A very few places have 24hrs water flow at their place even in the central and western lines. But this issue is addressed as being serious and equal efforts are put in from all ends.
MMRDA has taken a lot of initiatives to help solve this issue. Even the private developers are now making an conscious effort to have 24hrs water and power supply in all their new constructions.
