If you pay full price cash for a short sale that has been bank approved will the process of closing go faster?

Paying all cash will always make the process go much faster. The only thing that is the bottleneck is waiting for the bank to accept your purchase offer. Once it is approved, you can close in a day or two. The period to wait for the acceptance of an offer differs with each bank and each sale scenario. It's not always straight forward that he will take any offer that is submitted. If no approval has been provided, you may be waiting a while to close your deal.
