Default what questions should i ask potential brokers?

i have just passed my NJ real estate exam. I am attending some luncheons at my school the brokers have to recruit.

    What questions should i ask?

Also, any info on EXIT Realty? they were my first luncheon and i enjoyed the speaker, just concerned about the profit sharing concept.

    Thanks

You want a broker who offers hands on training. Don't get caught up in how much commission split you will get. Without the right training there won't be many commissions to split.

Also ask what it costs to hang your hat at each office, and what this includes. If you have to start buying your owns signs, advertising and other essential stuff, it can add up quick.

Greg could not be more correct about training. Even if the fees are high and the splits are bad, you can always change brokers after getting the needed training.

I would recommend looking at the caliber of agents at a few different brokerages and then ask questions about commission break down, monthly fees, training, is there an agent mentor program

Right now you are hearing their sales pitch. After you finish having lunches with these recruiters gather up all of the info from all of them and draw up a series of question and then go back and interview them.

They will be caught off guard when you take control of the interview and this is when you will find out who is spinning and who is for real.
