A personal or corporate website in the form of an online journal, with new entries appearing in sequence as they are written, especially as dealing with reflections or opinion, and typically incorporating links to other articles.

A blog is a personal online journal that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs are defined by their format: a series of entries posted to a single page in reverse-chronological order.Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or reflect the purpose of the Web site that hosts the blog. Topics sometimes include brief philosophical musings, commentary on Internet and other social issues, and links to other sites the author favors, especially those that support a point being made on a post. You can also earn money through blogging like adsense.

Than you so much!!
Hey guys,
Thank you so much for all your great input, I was solely moved by your contribution.
Next few questions are:
1. How can I start blogging? I treid blogger, but they give you a url with blogspot.com tail. Is there any ways I can just create my own blog and host it with a unique url?
2. Can blogs support feedback from readers?
3. I think its the classical question - how do you drive traffic to your blog?
4. Some exmaple of good blogs that you know about?
Thanks again for your help and have a great day!Ataur Rehmaan

Hi Treble888,
Here are your answers
1. Yes. You can get your own url and set it in blogger's setting's tab > publishing > custom domian.
2. Yes. It is a standard feature on all blogs. You can configure feedback on blogger's settings tab > comments tab.
3. Use this tried and proven method. Apart from updating your blog, its a combination of Article Submission and Forum Postings. You can learn the other options later.
4. REW members have some very good blogs. Do a search.
Hope that helps.Last edited by denver8; 04-14-2009 at 09:12 AM.

Blogs are the most amazing way to reach out to your clients and everyone on the internet. Your writing sits on your blog and gets collected into the search engines and blog aggregators, and you can just sit back while the organic traffic rolls in all by itself. Once you get a good blog going with a decent following, you do not really have to do heavy marketing pushes on your website. Especially if you get something to go viral online.....

Blog Vs Forum
I really understand the difference in structure but isn't it really the same concept.
