Has anyone noticed the change to the Yahoo search results pages? The sponsored/PPC listings are no longer in a blue shaded box. They now have the same white background as the organic listings.

Perhaps they felt that too many people were bypassing PPC ads?

There have been a few studies recently that show web surfers do not trust PPC ads as much as they trust organic listings, thus leading to few clicks on the sponsored ads. One can assume that Yahoo is blending these results so that the PPC ads don't stand out quite as much frm the organic results.

Then again, there are other surveys that show that even before this change that 50% of web surfers did not know the difference between organic and PPC results.

They must be testing the waters out by you. Here the PPC's are still on light blue backgrounds.
