I was just making fun of Ask.com. For years we have heard that they were going to be a major competitor. They have even done a decent amount of TV advertising.

Has it helped their market share? I don't think so. A bunch of our sites rank well on Ask and they receive little or no hits from them each month.

Ask.com sucks badly - what a waste of a database :D

In all honesty, ask.com isn't even on my radar. I focus on Yahoo, Google, and MSN and am fine with those big three.

I saw the thread header and wondered, "What the...?"

Then I saw it was somone answering a year-old set of posts.

Ask.com has only hit my site once this month. Usually I try to visit all the major search engines and Alexa at least once a day to type in my URL and it has worked wonders typing my site URL in getting the spiders to revisit my site but Ask.com still hasn't seemed to revisit lately.

A few months ago I was on the first page of Yahoo for the term "Savannah Real Estate." For that period of time, I noticed a big difference in leads.
