Is anyone using Pay per click, if so how do you rate it? Is it really worth it?

I think it should be used in any effective online marketing campaign. Find what keywords are most highly searched, and try some pay per click. We have used it for some time and been pleased with the results we have gotten. Again, you want to improve your organic search rankings, but PPC is a great way to keep a presence on the web. I hope this helps!
I have made a lot of money off of pay per click. Start small and build up your program so you don't go broke before you can make it work.

I'm using PPC as marketing tool. You can start from few keywords and small budget. I'm getting lot of traffic and inquires through google PPC. Because i want to keep my site top in my business area.

I use PPC to supplement. As an example: I'm #1 in PPC for one of my keyword searches. I'm also #1 for the organic results. I get over 16 times more traffic through the organic search than I do the PPC.

Nope I don't used it but some friend of mine are getting more money on it, So I guess it is worth it especially when you manage it well.

There's no easy answer to this. With trial and error and the right keywords, you're often able to get a lot of traffic for cheap. If you jump in haphazardly, you stand to lose a lot.
My advice? Read a ton beforehand before getting involved. It'll make a big difference.

I used to do pay per click with Yahoo and I know I did get some business from it, however, it was very expensive and I also feel I was getting a lot of bad clicks too. I don't know how much click fraud goes on, but I really think there is problem with that. Plus I also noticed that I was getting a lot of sales calls from companies trying to sell me on google advertising and I think they were getting to me via the various ads I had on Yahoo. So I got frustrated feeling like I was spending a lot more than I should for the amount of leads I was getting from it. So now I'm just focused on trying to get my site ranked better organically and would really appreciate any referrals to really good seo companies instead.

Correct, PPC you should do for Target keywords (i mean your location town + property , location + estate agents, 2 bed + location ...).Those people use broad keywords. very target keywords not expensive too.

I have found that keywords that target specifics within your site can cost dearly especially if you're running the ads for an indefinate length of time. However it is definately worth the monet in terms of short term advertising. Would definately agree that starting small is the best possible way. As the revenue outpaces the expenditure then you can always tweek to spend a little more on your PPC advertising.

I think pay per click traffic is good if you manage to get keywords that cost less than ten cents. Otherwise, the costs could really add up.

Some PPC advertising campaigns are pretty damn clever in allowing you to select all the keywords within your category. Do not be fooled by this money grabbing stooge. Select few and relevant keywords at start is most important. I made the mistake of selecting an endless list of keywords for my ad campaign and didn't keep an eye on it for over a month... then I was faced with the bill...

I have used PPC for a couple years now. If you don't take the time to study how it works then don't do it. You will lose alot of money. Additionally, you need to stay up todate as Google changes their own rules often.

It is if you know what you are doing and watch your budget. You also need to track your stat with something like Google Analytics (it's free) :)
The best thing to do if you are comfortable with it, is set up an adwords account, choose some relevant keywords for whatever you are trying to advertise and set a low daily budget of $5.

If you know what you are doing then the answer is yes. The majority of people who make money from online marketing are making their money by investing in PPC not by posting articles and getting a million site visitors.
Those who don't know what they are doing are losing money from PPC campaigns and will continue to do so until they either get some help or quit.

The most important thing to do is to make sure that you are tracking what you spend and what are your conversion rates. Keep in mind, that your ability to convert clients into referral sources on the back end should ultimately make it's way into your evaluations. A great way to manage your ad budget, is to really narrow down the number of key words that you are bidding for and really focus on owning your niche. Good luck!

IMO, ppc is good when you use to fill in the gaps. I wouldn't completely rely on ppc as your advertising campaign. Also, don't place all your eggs in one basket. If you're going to work with ppc, try different campaigns on different sites. I use google, facebook, and several others to fill marketing gaps and reach specific targeted audience. Through trial and error, you will be able to determine which work the best and which keywords and audience produces best traffic and conversion rates.

PPC is not worth it in my experience, it definately increases the number of visitors, but the average time anyone who enters through a PPC spends on the website was 5 seconds. Focus your money on a good SEO program and work on getting higher SERP, that is the best way to get good traffic.
