concept of broker confuion.

Hi everyone,

I am currently taking class and try to obtain my sale person. I have one part in the concept that i don't understand, i hope that you guy can explain them to me.

it say that to obtain the broker license, one must complete the series of courses that are approve by the DRE also, must have complete training. or if one already have a 4 year degree, then he/she don't need to have the training.

my question is will any 4 years degree work. for example engineer degree.

I assume you are in California? In Texas, you can use college credit toward Sales and Broker License. Check out info below for more insight into education req. for DRE

Applicants who submit evidence of having completed the eight statutory college-level courses required for the broker examination and license are eligible to take the salesperson examination without submitting further evidence of experience or education.

Continuing education offerings do not satisfy the college-level course requirements for this examination. Courses must be three semester-units or four quarter-units at the college level. Courses must be completed at an institution of higher learning accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges or by a comparable regional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, or by a private real estate school which has had its courses approved by the California Real Estate Commissioner.
