I posted a few times how online directories are good ways to get your name out there for free. What about networking sites. Are there any good business networking sites to promote your business?
Thanks

Just Google "your niche + network" and you will get a bunch of sites: forums, networking sites, blogs for commenting etc, where you can market yourself.

I have a data base of 1.3 Million+ Realtors addresses and emails. I think it may not be a bad idea to use this data and advertise your listings flyers etc.
If anyone interested please email me at realtyflipshop@gmail.com or check this link http://xyzworkathome.com/?cat=12

Take advantage of everything you post online and make sure you always list your website url or create a link to it!

Writing a blog is a good way to promote your business. It is not free though, given it is very labor intense and time-consuming. Blog about your business in depth and get people interested. In the internet age, words can spread out very fast if your blog click with readers and you have good stuff to offer.

A friend of mine used an offshore directory submission service for link popularity building. She was not happy with it. But she understood that your "paid for what you get". I think she paid about $150 to get submitted to ver 900 directories. The numbers looked good in the beginning. But as she browsed through those directories, she told me they are pretty bad. Anyhow, she suggested just stick with the major US directories like Yahoo, DMOZ, MSN, and various local search, etc.

I think best way to get free traffic is from search engines, so you should start optimised your site for main keywords. like "area + property" , "area + flats", "area + estate agents" . if you start now i will get results from 3 months.

Hi Rich,
Don't outsource, because they don't care about your business. Just they build your links. Normally they get links from related sites to show your ranking.
Now google check very well about back links. if you have 1 bad links that will going to effect your business long time. better do your self slowly. one high relevant back link better than 100 other links.
if you need help we can discuss more

blogging and these forums are free advertising and link building opportunities. I try to post a few times a week and blog a couple times a week...

Blogging and promoting your blog in directories and on forums is a great way to trade some of your time for what normally costs money. Also, if you are an expert at something consider writing articles and distributing them.

There is no doubt that the best way to market yourself effectively over time for free is to start a blog today. If you are consistent in your postings, focus on content specific to your niche and provide value to your readers...your blog will generate a ton of traffic and leads. Content is king on the internet. Good luck!
