I would like to start a Digg group.

I would like to start a Digg mutual exchange group for real estate professionals. I was hoping that we could use this to add some links to our blogs or articles we post to our websites. If any of you would be interested in taking part please post your interest.

Three of us is better than nothing but we need to get around 20 people to really make an impact. This way we can add random friends, from the community that also take part in these types of groups, by offering an additional 20 Diggs if the content is good. Another thing I feel like we need to help each other write good content so that we dont encourage turning the community into a spam data base. Please give me your feelings on how to go about adding to the size of our group before we launch. I would also like to thank both of you for responding and I am looking forward to your feed back.

jron and rainier thank you for your interest in the group. Now we have 5 interested individuals. I think we need to get to 20 to make it worth while for our time of putting a Digg group together. So, I think we should all add each other to our friends lists on here and when we not new members asking how to promote their blogs or website we suggest the Digg group. When we have a large enough group we will start posting to Digg. Thank you to everyone who has responded thus far.

Now we become 12 and i think starting a digg is sufficient with this number. If some more interested then we can add them on demand. Currently we should start bookmarking each others website with our logins. Currently we have 12 sites to digg as there are 12 interested people.

According to Dr. Jon Klienberg we should wait until the group grows to 20 before posting so that our efforts fit the normal distribution close enough. I trust Dr. Klienberg's opinion but I will leave it up to group member consensus.

Thanks for your post loudog and your assumption is correct. The idea of the Digg group is for members to Digg each others posts in the effort to drive traffic. I hope that everyone will be very active and if this becomes the case I will encourage the expansion into using other high traffic social networking/social book marking sites. I will keep you posted when we reach the numbers needed. If you have any ideas to make this more beneficial to members please post them.

I will need a couple of people to help me look over the materials we are Digging. I really dont want us to be labeled a spam group. I think that we need to make sure all of the material we Digg is of high quality and help one another to improve the content we write. Lets see if we can't get material to the front page. I have not had much exposure to Digg. How do you use it?

You use Digg by posting articles, your blog or valueable information on one of your webpages for the social network to veiw. If members of the network like your copy they Digg it (this means vote for it) if you get enough votes you can be bumped to the first page of the home page of a very popular social site. This brings more viewers to your website or blog. The traffic at times can be astronomical. There have been reports of some of the more popular articles crashing servers. Our group can help each other write high quality copy that we can then get noticed on Digg. My hope is to use not just Digg but also Propeller and StumbleUpon. That would be very near to correct. We have since expanded to use some other sites. We also help each other write better content.

So, it looks as though a great deal of the people who orginally were interested in this group do not frequent the forum any more. I have had a few people participate in the group and we have had some good luck with it. One of our members increased his web traffic by 40%. I have not had it that good but had one article make it to the third page on digg before it died back down.

I have developed a way to make this group generate more traffic and help out with back link building for your websites. By expanding into other social network sites. I have also established a much more organized system for the user group.

Anyone interested in this please post as such or send me an IM. We would love to expand this system.

I cannot remember whether I ever noted that the group uses a tool bar plug in that automatically posts to all of the social sites. This makes things much faster and easier to manage. Any how I look forward to finding people to network with.
