I am ready to start a poll about the best real estate forums in the industry.

Other than this one :D which ones do you like?

I have so far

http://www.agentsonline.net
http://www.realestatewebmasters.com and
http://www.realestatetalks.com

Which 7 more would be worthy to be up for an election?

Mike

Thanks, chachi!
I have been to a few real estate forums but those are the only 3 that have left an impression for me.

Well, I guess this poll is a little more appropriate now that I have seen the 'turmoil' in the world of RE forums. :)

I want to give real estate people an opportunity to tell forum owners what they are missing, what sort of info, resources would be helpful for them.

A lot of real estate forums out there seem abandonded. They haven't changed anything in years. I know however that I care and so does http://www.realestatewebmasters.com as well as http://www.agentsonline.net

Nobody likes to openly citique a forum within that forum, so I was thinking that this can be great to increase the productivity of realtors online.

Cool. I just found your site and that one recently after doing some research on RE websites and forums. I just bought the domain BuyingRealEstate.org and am looking for good sites to inspire what I'll do with mine. :)

Hmmm do you design yourself or are you looking for a company to do it for you?

I'm going to do it myself. Planning on using vB like you. Probably going to wait till vB 3.5 goes final before I put the site up. I bet you're also looking forward to 3.5 as well.

Haha. I doubt you would want to share the profits with me. ;) . I was noticing that you don't have any adsense on the site. I would have thought that adsense would pay well for real estate terms? Just curious. If you don't want to discuss the business side of the site here I understand.

Actually adsense revenue is very low for real estate related terms. Most of the Google adwords advertisers are lead-resellers. It is way better to find realtors who will take your leads and pay commissions :)

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'm a little disappointed now though. I was so sure adsense for RE was higher than average. Shows you what I know. :(

Oh yeh ... where were we?

Any other forums?

Anyways, I will make up my mind lateron on how many we should nominate. If we don't find any that are popular or have made a difference in the real estate world, the 5 we have will be it :)

http://www.thecreativeinvestor.com/residential/Forum-index.html is a pretty good real estate investing forum.

I honestly can not think of to many more GOOD real estate forums other than the ones you just mentioned. In the last 3 years I have only found what I would consider to be 4 good ones, this one, agentsonline, rew and real estate talks.
