I have been overly reluctant to enter into link exchanges because I am unable to justify the time and effort involved for what I have considered to be a dubious pay back. 99% of the link requests I receive appear to have no understanding or realization that the Google link dance has changed. However, Google is obsessed with linking and as long as they are king of the hill there is no escape but to get in line and sign their dance card. I have come up with what I believe is a rational linking strategy that aligns with 'Google think'.

I have created several theme pages each around a supporting article or text.(The format of the pages may change) The pages are linked from http://broadwaykeys.com/search.html which has a PR4 and is spirered daily by Google so the pages with be catched quickly. My plan is to put 2 to 15 max outgoing links per page. The links will be included in the text or between the paragraphs. I can create other theme pages within minutes and I welcome suggestions along with text for new theme pages. I also welcome all suggestions for potential improvement.

These are the pages. I have included internal links on some them:

http://broadwaykeys.com/keywest/beach-homes.html - Ocean Condos & Homes

http://broadwaykeys.com/keywest/vacation-homes.html - Vacation Homes & Condos

http://broadwaykeys.com/keywest/waterfront-homes.html - Waterfront Condos & Homes

http://broadwaykeys.com/keywest/investment-properties.html - Investment Properties

http://broadwaykeys.com/keywest/country-living.html - Country Living

http://broadwaykeys.com/keywest/golf-course-living.html - Golf Course Homes & Condos

I am interested in hearing from anyone who can provide a reciprocal link or a three way link in a similar manner or at a minimum on a page with less than 15 links.

I know what you are saying. There are so many people out there who want the ONE Product or ONE service which will give them there top rankings.

It is amazing how many people grab hold of one idea and milk it to death. Linking in and of itself is not going to make someone successful. For Linking to be effective it has to be connected with content which makes sense. I think you are on the right track but I would be careful to make sure that in addition to addding your pages, you still create easy navigation.

Most consumers want information quickly and if they get lost, they want to be able to get back to where they started quickly. When I click on your links, It took me awhile to know where to go next. You might want to review your site navigation with a non computer user to make sure they can navigate the site easily.

Just my two cents.

Just my two cents.I think you are right that many people grab on to one idea even in the face of mounting evidence that it won't do any good. Learned behavior is difficult to extinguish. I also believe it is a fantasy to think that google can determine relevant relationships between links and content. If they were able to do that then they would be able to measure relevance directly from the content. MSN seems to be moving on a "content relevance" track and I think doing a good job at it. I am not an MS fan but I wish them luck. The next year should prove interesting.

Frobn Get in touch with me I believe there may be something we can do to help each other out in your market and one of mine. Would be very themed almost identical..lol..check out my sig and tell if you would like to do something..those are very new but both are being spidered by google daily as well. Plus that is 2 of 9 that are being created.

Both you and I are on the same track in many ways. I hope that others will begin to abandon old linking strategies.

I am now pursuing two strategies:

1. theme pages for linking and

2: blogs

If anyone else is interested now is the time to join in.

I will have the third one up by the end of next week. I still have some content to finish and some final touches for the first two. Let me know if you would like to proceed and I can do some of this will I am putting on the final touches.

I agree with you as I am sure you can tell if you looked at those close. The old way of building links is for lack of a better term..Old School..you must either adapt or it could hurt your sites later on.
