There are a number of companies that charge you a fixed cost for any specific search terms. Check your pm for the site name. It'll probably give you the cheapest click rate, but you'll have to manage it yourself. I'm using a consultant to do it. The campaign will be launched at end of the month. I like the consulting approach a lot because they give me a perspective on how to manage my cost and how to narrow search terms down to focus on the profitable ones. Things that I never thought of so thoroughly on my own before.

To keep the cost down, I watched to see what were the high traffic days and only put us up in the top two for those days and then pulled us down for the the rest of the week. It saves a little but it is a pain in the neck. I found I got more leads off overture than google, and had a little better control over the money going out.

shimmer, I think you'll need to test which one generates quality leads for you. You'll need to get some kind of traffic monitor (by adding snippets to your site) to see which engine and which search terms or ad generate real leads.

Have you already tried ppc with Google? Theoretically if you bid on niche keyphrases that reflect your exact services - the prices should be lower and the amount of traffic too, at the same time traffic is more targeted thus conversion rate sould be higher. You might need to research your phrases more carefuly.

Just a thought.
