I am coming across more people that are asking me about modular homes. I know the basics and can answer the simple questions but I am looking for a more user friendly resource or chart that I can refer them to. Does anyone know of a good modular home information source or a
comparison chart so I can better show them how it stacks up against stick built homes? thanks

How much information do you need? I would stop buy a manufactored housing lot and just ask them. Unless they are working with someone, I'm sure they would be happy to answer your questions.

In my eyes, the biggest difference is the following:
1. Mobile homes have a steel chasis underneath and are delivered on wheels. Modulars are brought in on a truck and set into place with a crane.
2. Visually it can be easy to identify a modular because they have steeper pitched roofs in general than manufactored homes.
3. Both are made in a factory instead of onsite. This is supposed to get you a more quality built home. As always, it will always depend on the people doing the work and not just where it happens.

Does this help?

Not a problem....how deep are you looking to go with the information, then?
