Hi all,
I have been an IT professional for a few years and want to get into real estate. So I am new to this business and any tips, suggestions, recommendations, guidance or just plain “go back to IT” advice will be greatly appreciated :). Just wanted to introduce myself and looking forward to learning from everyone!
Thank you for the great forum.

The Real Estate Industry (as a whole) has been cutting down on costs and overhead expenses. What are you looking to get into with regard to Real Estate?

Welcome to this forum...I'd like to take the IT route...Should we switch? :D
Buying and flipping is not exactly the best time to do so. The market is tough and it's not a question of price. I have seen some listing at fair market value going HALF price and not selling with a full advertising. It's not the price, it's the market.
So, if you want to flip, get the property close to free...

There is always IT for realtors they all need web sites and great rankings and copy added. There is alway vacation rentals business you can do in addition to IT for realtors. Helping a realtor market there business can be interesting and rewarding especially with the right team you can grow into a very lucrative partnership.
Just a thought!

I am also new to the forum also. Starting a new venture can be a little unsure at first but I'm sure your 100% into the change. I think you have chosen two vocations that are both here to stay and you'll find your niche in whichever one you stay with or combo of the both. Good Luck.
