Hi,

I am new to the forum and need help marketing to realtors. I create 2D/3D floor plans of homes that are for sale or rent. Generally, if I can get my product in front of a realtor they are impressed. The problem is getting it there. Any thoughts on how best to introduce my product? I am dreadful at cold calling, emails get blocked and mass mailing get recycled.

Any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Beth

Beth, I am not an agent, but I definitely have a huge background in marketing. I would think, based on what you have provided, that you would have success marketing your sphere of influence. Also, if you have other Realtor clients, market to them and offer a discounted rate to them and their referrals. Just an idea.

Call brokers and get an appointment as speaker at the offices meeting. Get your stuff under your arm and show it...
My 2 cents;)

Try to find a way to talk to zonning and development commitee -- it is not easy but they have to listen "voice of the crowd". You could find a good deal of attention there and make useful connections.

I think this is a great idea for someone that has the experience and training to do the cold-calling aspect. But how would he/she get through the front door and into these presentations if the broker doesn't even pick up the phone or doesn't want to take the time?

Your way is definitely the fastest (and something that I do with regard to my business plan), but for someone that doesn't have the improv. selling down for cold-calling, it would be a harder way to get those appointments. This is the only reason that I said to start with your previous clients and people that you already know. It's a "warm transfer" and they can get you in touch with the right people.

It's definitely not the most efficient way, and certainly not the most time-effective, but it will work.

- set up a website (if you dont already) that highlights your work
- learn what factors trigger spam alerts with email filters
- use personalised emails to the accounts of the real estate agents or developer you want to target. (look around their site, most of the sales team/managers will have their email address listed in their profile)
- make sure your content in the emails will drive them to look at your site, always mention that is can help them sell off plan and get higher prices etc.
- if your good at the above they will contact you!
