I am just wondering whats the difference between a paid link and a one way link?

The difference is the 'paid' part of the question

One Way Link/Back Link: IS a link given by one webmaster to another, basically a link from their website to your website, given free.
Paid links/Back Link: IS the same as above but you paid for it. Whether a web directory, or sponsership/asvertising space on someone elses website.

I was under the impression that you have to pay for most one way links that are given to you unless you are doing a reciprocal link.

How is the free directory working out for you? I find it more beneficial to pay for inclusion or at least give a reciprocal link to a qualified directory source rather than just jump into as many free ones as possible.

Don't understand. What is the difference between reciprocal links and links if both are free. Do you mean you do not want to FORCE reciprocal links? If this is the case, I would certainly try to list my site and give you a reciprocal link anyway, because I do not like to be forced.

Blindly adding reciprocal links can hurt you, so be sure to check his ranking before you add it to your site.
