Costa Rica has been in BOOM mode since 2000, and it's not too late to get in. If anyone is looking for land, that's always going to be the best investment. I left Florida in 2005 after a positive experience in their BOOM, and am now helping people invest in Costa Rica with the same tactics.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or just to shoot the breeze.

You are right about the investment opportunities in Costa Rica. I'm a retired builder from Canada and have lived in CR for three years. Lots of talk on these forums about real estate investment in the USA, not much about Costa Rica.

Costa Rica is where its at for real estate and North Americans are taking advantage of the so called boom. I don't think CR is booming yet, its just getting started. Anyone wanting to make money in real estate should really look at CR closely.

In my area, mostly Americans are buying the houses around me, renting them out for $300-$700 per day, depending on the season. Not much for sale here because we all know the prices are going to skyrocket.

(PS..I'm not a realtor)

I love Costa Rica! There are so many places around the world to make great investments, it's a shame it is not discussed more often.

How's the market right now in CR? Are there still a lot of Amercians buying? Do you find they are the ones driving the market?

I'm just wondering if the lending crisis in the US is slowing the boom in CR? As many Americans might be reconsidering investing down there due to tight credit.

Just a thought.

Also I'm very interested in purchasing and using the property as a rental when I'm doing my "day job" here. Is there much of a rental market?

Thanks

I dont know about CR but I have heard Panama has been on a BOOM for a while. Sounds like you could make great deals down in Panama. Does anyone have any take on that?
