Hi all-

I've had a lot of success buying ads online. Pay per click can get out of control, but finding niche sites to advertise on can really jumpstart your lead aquisition.

Anyone have anywhere special they advertise online that maybe isn't well known? I mean google and Msn are obvious....any others?

How are you buying these ads mentioned? Who puts them on the site?

I've been buying ads at CostaRica.com. they put up an ad and lead form for me. Obviously thats my niche, so if you arent in CR you'll have to find something local. i'm very happy with the results.

Since you asked. There is a great real estate site in SE Missouri called HouseViewOnline. It has better local market saturation for the area than realtor.com, homes.com and yahoo. We do accept advertising.

If you are interested, go to www.houseviewonline.com (http://www.houseviewonline.com). Click on any of the "Advertise Here" links. We will contact you shortly.

nice site. If I was in your area I would use your site, but since I'm confined to Costa Rica, I can't.

Thanks for the mention.

Another search engine that not many people know about yet is GoodSearch. Just go to www.goodsearch.com (http://www.goodsearch.com) and it works just like Google or Yahoo. The difference is that you can choose a non-profit organization and every time you run a search on goodsearch the donate a penny to the organization. It's not much, but it's something. I have it set up so that every time I run a search the money goes to the School of Life Foundation. It's a great non-profit that everyone should check out at www.schooloflifefoundation.com (http://www.schooloflifefoundation.com). Anyway, it probably wouldn't cost you as much to advertise on goodsearch. Good Luck

I have tried various online marketing tools over the years. I have found that most of them are not worth the cost. I get calls from SEO companies promising great placement. Yet, they can't get themselves in the top ten. It takes alot of time but I develop my own websites. I have found them to provide the best results and to be the most cost effective.
I have built a new rental site and am working on it now. Today, I received 3 phone calls and 4 emails. The phone calls were legitimate leads. When I used pay for click, I don't remember getting any results.

The main problem I have with my Blog is that some of the posts that I receive are just advertisements and have no relationship to the topics being discussed.

if your pay per click is getting out of control you should learn how to make it work for you. when it is done right it will always get more traffic over an ad on a site.
harness the power of ppc!:D

I use pay per click and get tons of traffic for little money, and I'm in a extremely competitive market. The trick is to be really very specific in selecting your target key words, and then have lots of them. Individually they won't generate much clicks, but all together they amount to a very large portion of new visitors to my site.

I have been doing the same as you. Pay per click can be very tidious to keep up with and can get very very expensive. I am writing from Mexico so I can't help you in Costa Rica, but I cqan reccomend that you look up travel groups that are either in your area or go to your area and start there. Those are all great sites to post on, and they usually have great links to other relevant sites. Cheers:)
