Hi,
New participant here; thanks for the forum.
I'm skimming over rural land purchasing and am really just in the infant stages of exploring this. I would like to ask what some of this terminology is:
Referring to the text I've copied/pasted below, can you please tell me what is meant by 300 AU? ... and by National Grasslands allotment?
(National Grasslands, I thought, is under DIO jurisdiction.)
The following is excerpted out of a listing:
"Offering 3630+ deeded acres, including 640+ acres of farmland, and 8500+ acres National Grasslands allotment available, for a total of 12,130+ acres.
Rated at 300 AU. The property is all in one block except for the farming section separated by ten (10) miles. There are five deeded pastures and six federal pastures."
