for all of your support. We are working on something really good right now and I am not at liberty to say much more.

Only wanted to express my appreciation for all of the support I have received over the past 3 months.

We are giving away free real estate blogs (http://www.national-real-estate-directory.com/realestateblog.html) and anyone who has more than 15 posts in our forums can get one.

We are also looking for articles about your state (http://www.national-real-estate-directory.com/real-estate-forum/showthread.php?p=3859#post3859) and you will receive a "recommended real estate web site" banner right above it.

Tell all of your real estate friends about this forum!

Mention http://www.realestateforum.com/ (an easier to remember url) and have them click on "Message Board" on the bottom.

Once again, let's help this community grow, it will benefit us all in the future, especially the ones who have been very active here from early on !

Hey donelle8,

Nice to meet you. :)

Good luck with your wedding and all. I've been with the same gal for over 11 years and married to her for jsut over 7 years now.

As far as buying a home goes, just do it. That's my advice, buy before the prices go any higher. There is always a wave to ride, the high and low tides of the real estate market. But in the long run you'll be glad you bought now instead of later.

Mike: You got it. I'm proud of ya!
Donelle8: Two responses:
One -- on the mushy side -- Don't marry someone you can live with. Marry someone you can't live without.
Two -- on the I-can't-resist-the-temptation side -- Go find yourself a Buyer Agent (and, ahem, preferably an Exclusive one)!

Thanks Phoenix Realtor for the advice! Ya, we are trying to get the job accomplished, it's tough trying to find a house in the range we are trying for. San Diego is freakin expensive!

Yes, expensive it is. But I learned a long time ago from my dad that you should buy now. He passed on a corner lot, about 10 acres, when he was in his 20's. The guy wanted to give my dad this corner lot instead of paying him for painting the guys office building. My dad said no, give me the $5000, which was a lot of money back then.

Long story short, that corner (40th Street and Greenway) sold for a few million in the late 80's. So, even though it seemed like a lot of money at the time, he should have "bought" the corner lot instead of taking the cash and running.

Homes, lots, real estate in general always seems expensive when you are thinking in terms of the here and now. Think of the future...

L M A O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I apologize.

I am a happily married man, so I'm not looking for an invite. Thanks for thinking of me though. ;)

Glad you got something out of my story. You should hear how many old timers tell me one similar to it. Many tell me, "I wish I would've bought three" when they find out how much I'm going to list their home for that they've lived in since 1960 or 1970... But then they all, always say "$7500 was a lot of money back then. We weren't sure how we were going to be able to make our mortgage payments" and so on.

Take care!
