I've been mulling over the idea of providing mortgage brokers, lenders and realtors who have their own sites with free tools that they can put on their sites.

Such tools could be calculators that show how much money a person would save by paying X amount of additional dollars per month on his/her mortgage payment. Another tool might be an informational chart or graph that shows the relationship between mortgage rates and other factors. There's any number of possibilities.

My reason for creating such tools is simple: you post the tool on your site, and I get an embedded link in the tool back to my site, which helps me boost my Google PageRank. I can construct the tools so that visitors to your site would never even leave your site. All I'm looking for is the link value.

There's a zillion basic mortgage calculators available. There's also some charts and graphs that are of little use to retail visitors, but instead have some appeal for economic sites. I'd like to create tools that visitors to your site would actually use.

So, if you find this idea at all interesting, please let me know what sorts of tools you think visitors to your site would find useful.
