You can see some of the info in the MLS via sites like realtor.com but you will only see the full details via a realtor.

There is a site for East Tennessee. Full MLS. Free. The trick: my photo and my loan officer photo on all your search. So we try to get your business but other than that: free. Only East TN though...

Getting details on current listings is very easy. The value is in the sold data. You can always track things down through the tax records if you have all day.

Do you mean list on MLS or see all the data realtors have access to?
If you want to see all the data, many realtors will provide the data
to you and represent you on the buyer's side with no cost to you.

You also might want to try the local board of Realtor's website. Here they offer full access, although the searching functions are less than stellar. I would suggest just going through a real estate agents website.

If you commission the services of a real estate agent, they will likely share their MLS book with you from time to time. :) Also, it helps to have relatives who are in real estate - my uncle is a Realtor and can print out full data on any sale I may be interested in.

Yes you can get MLS access if you know a real estate broker or agent that will give you their access code. But I think that is highly unlikely being they will be in violation and taking a chance on losing their license if the DRE found out. otherwise become a agent and you'll have access to your own MLS. Play it straight!
