Hi, my wife & I made an offer on a house (new construction) and were looking for a relatively quick closing (~25 days). We had a mortgage broker that we thought was pretty good but when it came time to get the loan-related activities started we hit some snags. First, the broker's underling was delegated a lot of the work and while I sent him the sales contract on Friday morning he didn't lock the rate till Monday costing us about 1/8 interest point. Then he accidentally e-mailed our entire loan application (SSN's, credit scores, personal info, etc) to someone else's e-mail address. Luckily it was not an unscrupulous person and immediately called to let me know. Now it's only about 15 days till closing. My question is, if we went to another broker could we get this closed on time?? Thanks for any replies...

The short answer is going to be: maybe.

There isn't enough information to say yes or no. You would need to provide things like credit score, where you live, are you doing 100% financing, are you doing a stated income/subprime loan, etc, etc, etc, etc - all of which, you of course would not want to provide in a public format. :)

Hopefully some mortgage broker will see your request and contact you.

Good luck. :)
