Footer Links on Trade

Hey all....

Just want to let everyone know that there are footer links available on trade at http://www.realestate-buyingahome.com

It's a good spot on a DMOZ listed real estate forum that I just recently started.

Open to all interested but I'm giving you a footer so no garbage links pages in return... Something decent....

I have heard from few webmasters they consider the footer link as bad one.

Can you please tell me what's the real story ..

are they hated by google :(

I have heard the same thing that they are not respected as much, but I'm not sure the credibilty of the sources. If anyone has any information on this, please give us some advice.
