I'm looking for about 30 real estate agent web sites to set up a small link network. I'm testing a theory on Google PR and SERP's. Here's how it will work:
Once there are enough sites to work with, I will randomly generate a list of 9-12 links for each member (it will be the same amount for each site - the number will be fixed when the list is complete).
I will design both a CSS layout and a table layout for the links. I will also provide a code snippet if you would like to use the code in an include file. You can always change the colors to match your theme, but not the layout. Trust me, it won't be an eyesore.
The links will be static links - no javascript, redirects, or dynamic links.
Participants will place the code snippet provided on their home page. If at all possible, don't bury it on the very bottom.
Requirements:
1. Your home page must have a Google PR of 4 or higher.
2. Your site must pass the W3C HTML validation test (http://validator.w3.org/).
3. Your site cannot use frames.
4. Your site must adhere to Google's Quality Guidelines (http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html#quality).
5. If for some other reason your site is not accepted, I will notify you by email or PM (not in a public forum).
6. You may submit up to three sites. If you submit more than one site, please rank them in order of importance from highest to lowest.
7. You will be submitting anchor text only - no descriptions.
With 30 sites in this link exchange family, we can be assured that no two sites will have the exact same link partners. And with only 9-12 links in each code snippet, your site will not be bombarded by a bunch of ugly links.
I will also work to ensure that the total PR passed on by each link set is as close as possible to the other link sets and that all links are displayed equally.
When complete, each member will receive a complete list of all participating sites in this test.
Each member will also be asked to provide general information on their web site after the next PR update including number of inbound links outside of this program that you added during this PR phase. If you also keep track of the PR of new links pointing to your site, that would be helpful as well.
I will also be tracking your additional links as reported by Yahoo, MSN, and All The Web (Google only provides a random sampling of the total links).
Once PR has been updated, I will send each of the members the results of my findings.
If you are interested, please send me your info via email or PM only.
