This is not about buying or selling real estate but instead about getting into the business. I'm currently and elementary school teacher and I'm looking to make a career change. I'm interested in real estate for several reasons, but wanted to talk to some agents to hear some pros and cons of the business. Anyone's feeback is welcome!:)

I think it would be a good idea to give my friend a call and discuss your interests. He is a CPA and just quit his job to do real estate investing full time and I am helping him out trying to get people who are interested in investing. It wouldnt hurt to give him a call and talk to see if he can help answer your questions. They are mainly looking in investments outside of California since California is hard to invest in due to the large prices. His number is ***-***-****. Tell him Jason gave you his number. You're doing the right thing asking questions before you make the jump . Personally I enjoy being a Realtor and do fairly well. However, there's a million things to consider. Where are you going to find clients, what's going to be your niche, what's your business plan, medical insurance, are you self motivated, can you live without a paycheck for possibly an extended amount of time, are you good with people etc, etc, etc.....

These are things to figure out before you make the jump.
