HI,
I saw some posts about permanet house swap and was wondering how it is done.. Does anyone know anything about this? How do they figure out the value of the two homes being swapped and make sure both parties are equally compensated? I'm intriqued about the idea and learn more about it but couldn't find the info online.
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi there,
What you're talking about is nothing new. It's been around for quite awhile. However, with homes not selling and people wanting/needing to move quickly, more and more people are looking into this as a solution to their dilemma!
I have seen LOTS of properties on Craigslist.org where people are looking to trade homes with others in other parts of the country.
Usually, the homes are priced on par. However, depending on your specific situation, sometimes you'll just be happy to move from where you currently are to where you want to be, even if it's at a small price difference.
Here's a site that you can check out to get more information on and e-mail to ask additonal questions!

Here's more interesting info at that site that should also help you out!

Good luck!

That is a nice idea to move into/trade houses w/ somebody. Lots of times it could mean a new start for both parties. In this tough real estate market, swapping could be easier then selling the property. THere are lots of people willing to trade fo real estate or a boat or car, etc.
